What are wave springs?

A wave spring is a special type of compression spring. Made from flat wire, it coils in a smooth wave pattern. When pressed down, these waves squash flat, creating a steady push with less height than traditional springs.

They work well in products where saving space and weight matters most. In many cases, wave springs can cut spring height by up to half.
